Recently, the pioneering students of the first cohort at UMT Business School officially began their Graduation Project and Thesis Defense sessions, marking the final stage of their 3.5-year journey of learning, growth, and self-discovery.

This milestone represents students across four academic programs: Marketing, Business Administration, International Business, and Sports Management — disciplines that are shaping a generation of UMT students who are dynamic, practice-oriented, and ready to thrive in a globalized world.

The defense sessions were accompanied by academic evaluation panels and industry representatives, providing students with multidimensional feedback and helping their projects align more closely with real-world professional expectations and market demands.

One of the most remarkable aspects of this year’s defense season lies in the depth and practical relevance reflected in each project topic.
For the Marketing program, students went beyond communication concepts to address real market challenges — from developing the “Sách cho em” sub-brand for Fahasa, designing integrated marketing communication (IMC) plans for F&B brands, to optimizing sales performance through TikTok, affiliate marketing, and PR–Digital strategies for service-based businesses.

For the Business Administration program, students demonstrated strong operational and strategic thinking through projects addressing real-world business challenges, such as developing smart electric vehicle charging station models, designing e-commerce training programs for businesses, and analyzing investment behavior as well as financial performance amid a rapidly changing market environment.

For the International Business program, students tackled global business challenges through a systematic and forward-looking perspective, exploring topics such as green logistics, sustainable supply chains, multimodal transport optimization, as well as Vietnam’s role in regional supply chains and emerging production relocation trends.

For the Sports Management program, students highlighted the intersection between sports and modern business through projects focusing on communication strategies, brand development planning, and operational models for professional sports clubs.

Through these highly practical and well-developed projects, students demonstrated not only clear critical thinking and analytical capabilities, but also the ability to propose concrete and feasible solutions to real-world challenges. More importantly, it reflects the spirit of UMT students — learning not merely to acquire knowledge, but to create practical value and solve real problems.
The defense sessions have now come to a close, marking an important milestone in the journey of UMT Business School’s pioneering first generation — the students who laid the foundation for the UMT Business School’s future development and who are expected to contribute meaningfully to the growth of society and the nation in the years ahead.
As they bid farewell to university life, may these “warriors” of Cohort 1 continue to uphold their courage, passion, and pioneering spirit as they confidently step into the global workforce and write the next remarkable chapters of their own journeys.
