Student Exchange Program 2026 – UMT welcomes its first international student delegation for study and cultural exchange

This marks the first time UMT has organized a program welcoming international students for academic learning, cultural exchange, and experiential activities, representing a significant milestone in the University’s journey toward internationalizing its educational environment and expanding global academic connectivity.

Taking place from May 17 to May 23, 2026, the program features a wide range of academic activities, industry immersion experiences, and cultural exchange initiatives, providing UNJ students with valuable opportunities to gain deeper insights into Vietnam’s educational environment, culture, and daily life.

Speaking at the welcoming ceremony for the international student delegation, Dr. Nguyen Canh Tuan, Vice President of UMT, expressed his delight as the University hosted its first international student exchange program in Vietnam. He emphasized that the program is not merely an academic exchange activity, but also a valuable opportunity for students from both institutions to learn from one another, foster cultural connections, and broaden their global perspectives in a modern educational landscape that increasingly values international integration and experiential learning.

As part of the program, UNJ students will participate in academic sessions at UMT on topics such as Everyday Ethics, Culture Beneath the Surface, and Arguing Without Fighting, led by UMT lecturers. Designed with an interactive approach, these sessions aim to provide students with multicultural perspectives, global communication skills, and an international mindset that reflects the demands of today’s interconnected world.

Alongside the academic activities, the program will also feature the UMT Campus Tour, industry immersion experiences, and a wide range of cultural exchange activities between UMT and UNJ students throughout the week. Collaborative group work, project presentations, artistic performances, and cultural sharing sessions are expected to create a memorable journey filled with meaningful youthful experiences and lasting cross-cultural connections.

The welcoming of UMT’s first international student delegation for study and cultural immersion has opened up valuable opportunities for UMT students to engage in a multicultural learning environment, strengthen their global competencies, and prepare themselves to become happy and successful global citizens in the future.
