The UMT TechGen Competition, organized for the first time by University of Management and Technology Ho Chi Minh City (UMT), is a specialized academic competition designed for high school students with a passion for Mathematics, Informatics, and Information Technology. The competition offers participants the opportunity to explore their programming potential, access high-quality problem sets, and experience a university-standard competitive environment.
UMT TechGen is structured into two divisions tailored to students’ academic backgrounds and competencies:
Division A: Students who have achieved provincial-level awards in Informatics or are currently enrolled in specialized Informatics classes at high schools nationwide.
Division B: All other high school students with an interest in algorithms and programming.
VALUABLE PRIZES AND SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
A total of 45 prizes will be awarded across both divisions, including:
Special Prize: VND 10,000,000
First Prize: VND 6,000,000
Second Prize: VND 3,000,000
Third Prize: VND 1,000,000
Encouragement Prize: VND 500,000

Global Scholarship – 100% tuition coverage for the entire academic program

FREE ACADEMIC TRAINING AND MENTORSHIP
Before entering the competition rounds, participants will have access to three rounds of academic mentoring sessions, each consisting of four classes (two hours per session), delivered directly by lecturers and outstanding students from UMT’s Faculty of Technology. These sessions are designed to help students strengthen their foundational knowledge, deepen their understanding of algorithms, and enhance their programming skills.
