Seeing that technology plays the leading role in today’s ever-developing society, Dr. Huynh Ba Lan has always desired to create a technology-oriented university with the aim of educating global citizens and providing them with an academic environment that can be compared with worldwide universities in regard to facilities. In such an international standard environment, its educational programs require methodical framework, distinctiveness, and international quality while intertwining the virtues of love and moral values.

Dr. Cao Minh Tri had 12-year working experience in the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union and Party Committee before his 18 years of experience teaching in the doctoral, graduate and undergraduate programs at 18 different domestic and overseas universities in the areas of International Business, Marketing, Branding and Strategy in English and Vietnamese. He has also worked as a consultant and trainer in those afore-mentioned fields for large enterprises, including Kien A Group, SCG Group, Saigontourist Import-Export Joint Stock Company, Saigontourist Travel Service One Member Co., Ltd.; and a number of companies, universities, colleges, and other units.

He has supervised 3 doctoral students, over 60 master’s students and 13 research students/groups who achieved ministry-level and university-level awards in recent years. He has published a number of scientific works nationally and internationally: 12 textbooks, study materials (as an editor or member of the editorial board), 7 research projects (as an author or as a contributor) and more than 60 published articles on economics, business administration, business strategy and marketing on domestic and international journals, seminars in the category of State Professorship Council of Vietnam.

Tran Dan Thu, Associate Professor, was well recognized in the academic community. He received the Meritorious Teacher and the Second-class Labor Order by the President; Merit Award from the Prime Minister; and Chairman of the HCMC People's Committee. He also received the highest accolade of his profession from the Ministry of Education and Training, Vietnam National University-Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Institute for Advanced Studies in Mathematics…

During many years of teaching and research, in addition to academic research in the fields of Applied Mathematics and Information Technology, Professor Tran Dan Thu has also actively engaged in practical research to find solutions utilizing modern technology. In recent years, he has consulted for VNPT IT Company - VNPT Group’s provincial-level projects on digital transformation, and digital platform architectural set-up. The establishment will transform data automatically for public administration and digital public administrative mobile application for citizens.

With his immense expertise in training and applying Information Technology, he always wishes to train excellent students with full capabilities to meet the challenging requirements of the industrial revolution 4.0 and digital transformation of Vietnam; and the urgent requirements of human resources in Information Technology in the years to come.

Dr. Tran Nam Quoc is an expert with more than 15 years of experience in Management, Finance, Banking and Strategic Consulting; and more than 10 years in teaching and higher education administration. He is an interdisciplinary researcher focusing on Development Economics, Behavioral Economics, Administration and Finance. As an educator, he has contributed in innovating management, professional development and digitization in the university system. His idea of developing a "National Education Brand" to support the global integration process of Vietnamese universities was pioneering. 

As a member of the International Society of Vietnam Economists (ISVE) and former Vice President of Vietnamese Student Association in France, Dr. Tran Nam Quoc is an active and enthusiastic contributor to the activities of international students and the professional community 

Being a founding dean of UMT with a great ambition, Dr. Tran Nam Quoc is eager to develop pioneering business training programs focusing on human capital that meet sthe international and professional standards. His primary goal is to make UMT School of Business (UMT BuS) becomes one of the leading business schools in the region and connecting to the global network of business schools. 

Dr. Tran Nam Quoc personally strives to become "the ideal knowledge leader". He is fascinated with creativity; thus, he inspires his colleagues and students through the motto: “Leading the world with unconventional thinking.”

  • General Secretary of the Ice Hockey Federation, and Manager of Thailand's Men's and Women's Ice Hockey Teams.
  • Member of the Reviewing and Editorial Board of leading journals of science and sports management. 
  • Visiting professor at major universities in Asia, Europe and America; speaker at major sports conferences around the world.

    Dr. Nguyen Tra Giang is the first Vietnamese to graduate with a master's and doctorate degree in Sports Management and has more than 10 years of experience in the role of Assistant to the President and teaching at prestige sports schools in Thailand. She is an expert in teaching Sports Management, Tourism and Marine Sports, Marketing and Sports Sponsorship, Sports Event Management in Thailand and other countries in the region. She is also the first Vietnamese to be granted the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship of the European Council for the Sandwich Exchange Doctoral Program in 2009. In 2017, she held the first and largest International Conference on Sports Management in Vietnam with more than 200 faculty, students, coaches, athletes, representing 28 countries.

    She is also the founder of the major projects “Stay active, Happy her, Happy us” and “Muaythai, She, Safe and Strong” supported by the US Department of State in collaboration with the University of Tennessee and the ESPNW channel (USA) to inspire female students at universities to be active in sports activities, thus, turning sports into a means for education and healthy lifestyle, creating positive habits for female students and help them better understand the value of physical education.

    Through the working environment at UMT, Dr. Nguyen Tra Giang wishes to do something new and different for the country's sports industry:

     

  • Making UMT's Bachelor of Sports Management program the best training program in Vietnam and in the region; becoming the number 1 choice for athletes, coaches and young generations who are passionate for sports.
